Future City Competition

St. Jude students dominated the recent Future City Regional Competition!

Team Atoranta: Roscoe, Joe, Patrick, Andrew, and John Charles. 

Care City: Madelyn, Katie Brandt, and Annamaria. 

La Ville Que Vit: Christina, Caoimhina, Rachel, Stella, and Lyda. 

Meili de Chengshi: Maeve, Meghan , and Irena. 

Wahi Tumatanu:  Declan, Riley, William, and Sean Castleberry

With five teams representing St. Jude, three went on to win awards.  “Care City” engineers and developers, Katie Brandt, Madelyn, and Annamarie took first place and will represent the State of Georgia in the Nationals in Washington, DC over President’s Day weekend. In addition to first place overall, they received the “Accessible City” and “Most Innovative Construction Techniques” awards. 

Lyda, Caoimhina, Rachel, Christina, and Stella, engineers of their future city, La Ville Que Vit, took Best Model, Best Research Essay, and Most Sustainable Design awards, while the Excellence in Systems Integration award went to John Charles, Patrick, Andrew, Roscoe, and Joe for their city, Atoranta.

The five teams were amazing!! They should be very pleased with their models, presentations, and thorough research.
