How can I receive information about St. Jude the Apostle Catholic

When is the application for admission due?
Are all candidates for admission required to take an applicant
test?
Yes, all applicants to St. Jude the Apostle School are required to take a test. This test is part of the process by which
admissions and placement
decisions are made. The cost of the test is covered in the application fee.
When is the applicant test offered? When will I receive my
testing date?
The applicant testing will be administered by the faculty of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School on two dates: Saturday,
March 3rd, 2018 and Saturday,
March 10th, 2018. The test will last approximately one hour. You will receive an email with your child’s testing date and
time within 2 business days
of the admissions office receiving your completed online application.
When can I come for a tour? What will I see?
We encourage every family considering St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School to come on campus to meet our teachers and students,
visit our classrooms,
and experience what St. Jude School is all about. Guests have the opportunity to tour with our Admissions Director on most
Mondays through Thursdays
in the morning. If these options are not convenient, we will work to accommodate your schedule. Contact Aileen Leahey at

Do you have an Open House?
Yes! The St. Jude School Open House is on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 2 PM to 4 PM, with a presentation by Principal Patty
Childs at 2 PM. During the
Open House, a Student Ambassador or PTA parent will take you and your family on a personalized tour of our school. At our
Open House you will meet the
teaching faculty and staff, guidance counselor, and some of our students, parents, and administrators.
We look forward to meeting with you to answer your questions and share with you what it means to be a member of the St.
Jude the Apostle Catholic School
community.

What is the Middle School Day Experience? How can my child
participate?
Rising sixth and seventh grade students who have submitted an online application for the 2018-19 school year are encouraged
to be guests at St. Jude School on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM. As part of the shadow experience,
your child will be assigned to a Student Council Ambassador, take a tour, visit a classroom, and enjoy lunch and recess
with current St. Jude students. This program is the best opportunity to observe our school community in action and experience
firsthand what life at St. Jude School is really like. Rising sixth and seventh graders wishing to participate in the Middle
School Shadow Day should contact the Office of Admissions by Monday, February 5, 2018.
What is the cost of tuition for St. Jude the Apostle Catholic
School?
Tuition for the 2017-2018 school year is $8,595 for active Catholic families with a Parish Verification form signed by the
Pastor of their church. Families
pay their tuition through the FACTS Tuition Management System. To learn more about accessing various tuition payment options,

The cost of tuition for non-Catholic familes, or Catholic families without a signed Parish Verification form, is $10,080.
Is Financial Assistance available?
Yes. The average financial aid award for the 2017-18 school year was $5,978 per student. This amount varies based upon the
financial need of each individual family.
Families benefiting from tuition scholarships for the current school year: 10%
St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School requires families to complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment online to process financial
aid applications for the
2018-2019 school year. The online financial aid application must be completed no later than March 1, 2018, and will be available
on November 1, 2017
at the
FACTS Website.
In addition to financial aid awarded by the school,
GRACE Scholarships are available to students transferring from
a public school, or to a new
student entering kindergarten or first grade. Click here for a GRACE Application. Applications must be submitted to St.
Jude the Apostle School no later than
March 1, 2018. GRACE applicants are also required to complete the online financial aid application at www.saintjude.net.

The Admissions Office will provide financial assistance decisions with a student’s admissions notification letter mailed
on Friday, March 30, 2018.
Decisions are based on financial need which must be re-established annually.
What are the transportation options?
Most families utilize carpools to get to and from St. Jude School. With families coming from over 21 different parishes,
odds are you will find someone
near you who attends our school.
There is also a private bus which is run by an independent transportation service and coordinated by parents. Parents who
choose to have their child
ride the bus will sign a contract and make payments directly to the bus driver.
Does St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School accept transfer students?
Yes! We do accept a limited number of qualified students for transfer into rising 1st through 7th grade. In accordance with
the policies of the Archdiocese
of Atlanta, rising 8th grade applicants must be currently enrolled in a Catholic school to qualify for admission to St.
Jude School. Please review the
