What is the purpose of the Annual Fund?
St. Jude tuition does not cover the costs to educate a student. The total cost to educate each child at St. Jude is $8,192; tuition is $6,462. The Annual Fund provides a means to close this gap so we can continue to provide the best Catholic education possible for our students. Annual Fund dollars have an immediate impact. Technology improvements, curriculum enhancements, and professional development opportunities for our teachers are supported by the Annual Fund.

Who contributes to the Annual Fund?
Contributions come from current parents, parishioners, alumni, grandparents, former parents, and friends.

Why should we support the Annual Fund?
Corporations and foundations first look to the St. Jude school community to make a strong
statement in their support for the school. An on-going tradition of voluntary financial support for St. Jude School demonstrates a commitment to excellence.

Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes, we provide a receipt for the amount of your gift. If you donate before December 31, your contribution will be tax deductible for the year it is received.

What is a matching gift?
Many companies offer a matching gift program to their employees as a way to reach out to the community and provide charitable contributions as an employee benefit. Ask your human resources manager if your company participates - matching gifts can double or even triple the amount of your gift.

How do I send my gift to the school?

Do you accept gifts of stock to the Annual Fund?
Yes. We can accept stock certificates or the Development Office can provide your brokerage firm with wire transfer instructions.

Doesn't St Jude School receive subsidy money from the Archdiocese of Atlanta?
No. St. Jude has been financially independent from the Archdiocese of Atlanta since 2001. Our only means of financial support is from tuition and Annual Fund donations.
