Giving Opportunities

Annual Fund
Annual giving is the financial lifeblood of any school. It is a tax-deductible opportunity for parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, parishioners, and friends to help make a difference in the future of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School.

These gifts are generally unrestricted funds and are added to the school’s budget for use in meeting current operating expenses, enhancing the programs and services offered to the students, and maintaining the physical plant.

The annual fund bridges the gap between tuition and the cost to educate each child. For example, the total cost to educate each student in 2007-2008 is $7,690—tuition per child is $5,974 leaving a gap of $1,716.  We no longer receive a subsidy from either the parish or the archdiocese. Therefore, each family is asked to contribute at a level appropriate for them. Our goal is 100% parent and faculty/staff participation.

Traditionally, strong institutions have strong annual funds. An annual fund gift is a tangible vote of confidence in St. Jude School’s total program.

Endowment Fund
This fund is made up of gifts and bequests that are subject to a requirement that the principal be maintained intact and invested to create a source of income for St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School. Giving to the endowment fund is a wonderful opportunity to invest in the future of Catholic education. Contributions to the endowment fund are perpetual, and as the endowment grows so does the school's ability to carry on its mission.

The endowment fund was established in 2002 to ensure the future financial stability of St. Jude School. It has been funded by contributions from “Our Faith, Our Future” Capital Campaign, St. Jude’s PTA, and various other donors. Memorial and honorary gifts can be allocated to the endowment fund at any time.

Guardian Angel Fund
A donation to this fund provides a tax-deductible opportunity for a donor to have a direct impact on a current student. You may provide full or partial tuition to a student or students in financial need.
